CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Circle-K Speed Street kicks off Thursday.

  • Speed Street is taking place in Uptown.
  • Street closures include Tryon between Trade and Stonewall as well as, 3rd, 4th and MLK between Church and College. 
  • Roads will reopen Sunday morning. 

Organizers expect 300,000 people to attend the racing festival in uptown Charlotte this weekend.

Portions of several streets will be closed, including Tryon Street between Trade and Stonewall. 3rd, 4th and MLK Boulevard, between Church and College streets, will also be closed.

Speed Street begins at noon on Thursday and lasts until Saturday.

All roads will reopen Sunday morning.
