Wilmington has seen over six inches of rain over the last several days, and more is on the way this week.

Monday's rain chances will be highest during the afternoon and evening. As temperatures warm to the low and mid 80s with partly sunny skies, scattered storms will develop around the region. There will likely be more storms in inland areas compared to the immediate coast.

Because of the scattered nature of the storms, not everyone will see rain Monday. However, some of the storms will produce locally heavy downpours. A few of the storms could train over the same location for a while late today. If that happens, localized flooding could occur.

Any storms that develop Monday afternoon and evening should come to an end by late Monday night.

Tuesday will be another warm and humid day, but fewer storms are expected in the afternoon. Late day storms will likely be more widespread again Wednesday.
