ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. -- 911 calls are revealing more details about the moments after a deadly shooting that involved a love triangle in Sneads Ferry last Wednesday.

  • The shooting, involving a love triangle, left Wayne Curry, Jr. dead.
  • John Price, Jr. is charged with murder.
  • A group of neighbors held Price at gunpoint.

"Do you know if someone has been shot for sure?
No, but I seen him go into the house with a shot gun and he shot one time and he walked back out.
Ok do you know him?
I don't, you need to send some law here now."

The shooting left 54-year-old Wayne Curry, Jr. dead in his home.

Sixty-two-year-old John Price, Jr. was charged with murder.

When authorities arrived, a group of neighbors were holding Price at gunpoint.

Authorities say this all happened during a fight over Price's estranged wife.

Price is expected to be back in court later this month.

According to an online obituary, a celebration of life ceremony was held for Curry Thursday.
