CHADBOURN, N.C. -- A Whiteville City Schools teacher died in an accident in Chadbourn.
- Angela Bullard was killed.
- Bullard's son was injured in the crash.

According to Highway Patrol, the SUV 47-year-old Angela Bullard was driving lost control on wet pavement at East Institute Street and hit a tree on Wednesday.
Bullard’s son was seriously hurt after he was ejected out of the rear window.
Bullard was a middle school math and science teacher at North Whiteville Academy and had previously worked at Central Middle School.
In a statement, Whiteville City Schools Superintendent Kenny Garland said, "Ms. Ballard touched the lives of many students in our system. She was a team player and willing to serve in multiple capacities as an educator."
Chadbourn police are still investigating the crash.
