A slow moving storm system brought lots of rain to eastern North Carolina over the past 24 hours.  As the storm moves northward, the chance of showers will end.

Most areas across the state saw at least an inch of rain with many locations seeing more than an inch.

With showers ending, skies will remain mostly cloudy through the night into Wednesday morning. On Wednesday we'll see partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies with a few spotty showers possible by the afternoon.

Thursday should be dry but another system will bring another chance of showers Thursday night into Friday morning.

After this disturbance moves off the Carolina coast, we should see dry weather with more sunshine for the weekend.
