Pleasant weather is ahead for most of this weekend.  Late night and early morning temperatures will be pretty chilly.  Afternoon temperatures will be mild but several degrees below average for the second half of April.

  • We'll wrap up the work week Friday with sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s.
  • Clear skies will allow temperatures to drop quickly after sunset Friday night.
  • Lows in the upper 30s are forecast by sunrise Saturday morning.

Patchy light frost will be possible for some rural locations near and north of the Triangle. Saturday and Sunday will be feature plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 60s to near 70.  Morning lows will drop to the low 40s Sunday morning.

Increasing cloudiness is expected late Sunday ahead of low pressure that will bring our next chance for rain during the first half of next week.  There's just a slight chance for showers during the day Monday, but rain chances will increase Monday night into Tuesday.
