WILMINGTON, N.C. -- After an eventful week that brought hundreds of thousands of people to Wilmington, the Azalea Festival has come to a close.

Visitors spent Sunday out and about at the street fair. Vendors from all over the country were set up showcasing everything from hand-made wooden decor to soap.

One woman from Atlanta says the event was well worth the drive.

“The town itself is a great town and this is my first time here. It’s just beautiful, we love it and we will definitely be back for sure,” said Ashley Till.

Officials say the festival brings in more than $50 million worth of economic impact.
