The Azalea Festival draws in more than 200,000 people every year to the port city. Vendors spent much of Friday setting up for the annual street. Crews shut down several roads, including portions of Water and Front Streets to make it happen. Officials said more than 350 vendors are on hand featuring everything from arts and crats to funnel cakes.

We spoke with one vendor from the Outer Banks who said she’s been coming for the past eight years.

"Oh I think it's great, it's great commerce for us local people for people to come from all over the country,” said Kim Baker.

Our Spectrum News coastal team will have a photo booth set up Saturday from 10AM-6PM at the street fair.

The street fair runs through Sunday.
