A cold front will move across North Carolina on Wednesday.  It will bring with it the chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms.  Some storms could be strong to severe...

After a cloudy, cool start to our Tuesday, we saw southerly winds and more sunshine by the afternoon which gave us warm daytime highs.

Ahead of the front, southerly winds will keep temperatures milder tonight and it will increase clouds across the region.  We may see a few spotty showers during the night and into early Wednesday morning.  The better chance of showers and thunderstorms will occur by Wednesday afternoon.  It is possible that we could see a few strong to severe thunderstorms as the front moves through.  The main severe weather threat would be the possibility of storms with strong, damaging winds.

Behind the cold front, high pressure will build back across the state by Wednesday evening into Wednesday night.  This will give us more sunshine on Thursday with cooler temperatures.
