After a 50-50 weekend, where we saw clouds and showers on Saturday, and sun and milder temperatures on Sunday, the clouds made a comeback as we began the new week on Monday...

A steady flow of moisture over North Carolina, gave us a cloudy and drizzly day on Monday.  A warm front will slow lift to the north over the next twelve hours.  This will help raise temperatures on Tuesday but it will also help support more fog and drizzle through the night into Tuesday morning.  Some of this fog could be dense, greatly reducing visibility.

We should see a few breaks in the clouds by Tuesday afternoon and with this we should see warm daytime highs.

This warmer weather pattern will continue through much of the week with near record highs expected over the next few days.

A cold front will approach the area by Thursday and will drop out temperatures slightly for the end of the week.
