NORTH CAROLINA -- State DOT trucks started brining roads across the state Monday, preparing for the expected winter weather.

The governor's offices says trucks hit interstates in Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh -- and along the I-95 corridor.

A cold front is expected to move into the area late Tuesday night, bringing snow to the area by Wednesday.

The governor says the Highway Patrol is prepared for poor travel conditions -- and that the State Emergency Response Team is prepared to activate if necessary.
