Last week at this time, we were recovering from a winter storm and dealing with very cold temperatures... Now, we're dealing with a more spring-like weather pattern for the end of the week, complete with the chance for a few thunderstorms.

Moisture will continue to move up into North Carolina from the Atlantic through the rest of the night.

With it, we'll see clouds, showers, drizzle and some areas of fog.

The showers will continue into Friday morning. We may see a break in the shower activity through midday on Friday.

After that, a cold front will cross the state from Friday afternoon into Friday night. That system will trigger more showers and even the chance for isolated thunderstorms. Precipitation should end by very early Saturday morning.

Colder air will drop into the area behind the cold front for Saturday and even colder air moves in by Sunday.

After this week's period of above average temperatures, we'll go back to below average temperatures for most of next week.
