A couple more bitter cold days in the forecast before temperatures moderate for the work week.

Saturday started off with temperatures mostly in the teens across central North Carolina, we even had some single digit readings. Most of the region will stay at or below the freezing mark until Sunday afternoon.

Not as cold for Sunday night into Monday morning as clouds overspread the region; look for lows in the low to mid 20s. Monday will bring us some clouds and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s, then a chance of showers Tuesday with highs in the 50s.

Warmer weather stays with us for the rest of the work week with highs in the low 60s possible Thursday and Friday. With the warmer weather we’ll see a chance for more rain by the end of the week.
