A strong cold front has moved off shore and in its wake temperatures drop.

High temperatures for Tuesday were pretty much where they should be for this time of the year; ranging from the upper 50s to mid. Big change today with afternoon highs only in the mid 40s.

You can expect a little a warm up as we head into Thursday with temperatures back to where they should be. Not much change for Friday then another warm up as we head into the weekend. In fact, by Sunday, we will see highs in the low to mid 60s across eastern North Carolina.

Clouds on the increase Sunday as the next system nears that will bring a decent chance of rain for Monday.
