After we saw clouds and cool temperatures on Thanksgiving Day, we saw more sunshine and milder temperatures on Friday.

High pressure built into North Carolina on Thursday night and Friday, setting the stage for the nice weather we had on Friday.  This high will control the weather across the region through tonight and into Saturday.  On Saturday, we'll start the weekend with lots sunshine and after a chilly start to the day, we will see a nice warm-up by the afternoon.  As a cold front moves across the state, clouds will develop and we should see partly cloudy skies by Saturday night.  The front has limited moisture to work with, so no precipitation is expected as it passes the region.

Behind this front, cooler high pressure will build into the area and we will see more sunshine on Sunday with slightly cooler daytime highs.

Temperatures will warm up again into next week.
