WILMINGTON -- The Street Turkeys of Wilmington is back out collecting food and money for those who need it the most this holiday season. They spent Wednesday gathering donations for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Last year, volunteers collected more than 12,000 pounds of food and hope to continue that again this year.

“We need to take a moment and realize how blessed we are. We all have struggles, and if we help each other out, our struggles would be a whole lot less,” said Jai Isear, Street Turkeys director.
