DUBLIN, N.C. -- A Bladen County man is in custody after authorities say he barricaded himself in his home and fired shots at deputies.

The standoff, which lasted for six hours, started late Tuesday morning near Paul Brisson Road and N.C. Highway 410.

Officers took 20-year old McKenzie Brisson into custody Tuesday evening.

No one was hurt.

Authorities originally responded to the home after Brisson's grandfather called deputies for help because he said Brisson was acting erratically and depressed.

It’s not clear yet what charges could be filed against Brisson.

During the standoff, authorities put Bladen Community College on lockdown and ordered people at West Bladen High School and Dublin Primary to shelter in place as a precaution.
