A weak area of low pressure forming near Florida Tuesday will bring showers to eastern North Carolina Tuesday night.

Most of the daytime hours Tuesday will end up dry through. We will see increasing cloudiness as temperatures warm to the mid and upper 60s in the afternoon.

A few showers are possible Tuesday evening, but the greatest chance for rain will become between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday as the weak low pressure moves just off the Carolina coast.

Less than half of an inch of rain is expected during that time.

Any lingering clouds around sunrise Wednesday will clear out by mid-morning making for a mostly sunny Wednesday afternoon.  Highs will warm back to the upper 60s.

Thanksgiving Day will be cooler with highs only in the 50s.  We will also have to watch another area of low pressure that could be moving up the southeast coast Thursday.  There is at least one computer model that brings rain from that low inland over eastern North Carolina Thursday.  Other models keep the showers off our coast.  For now, we will just call for a 30% chance for showers on Thanksgiving Day near the immediate coast.
