Sunny skies, warm and dry conditions headline the forecast for this weekend.  You can expect highs in the upper 70s to around 80 for the weekend for most of North Carolina.  Morning lows will range through the 50s for most of us.

If you are looking for some fall color you may want to head to the mountains this weekend.  While the foliage has peak at the tops of the mountains, the color has been spreading to lower elevations this week.  Elevations around 3500 to 5000 feet should be near peak this weekend.  Areas near Mount Pisgah, the Pisgah National Forest, and Linville Falls should offer some of the best views over the next few days.  The mountains of North Carolina will see lows in the 40s and highs ranging from the mid 60s to low 70s.

Looking ahead, the next chance for rain will arrive late Monday as a front moves across the state.  Central and eastern North Carolina will have to watch for a few storms with that front on Tuesday.
