CHARLOTTE -- The Queen City has just been named the top city in America for economic opportunity according to a new study.
The report, which is from Yelp's new program, the Yelp Economic Outlook, ranks Charlotte as No. 1.
According to Yelp, they define "economic opportunity" as " the chance businesses have to stay open, and for new businesses thrive [sic]."
Other cities appearing in the Top 10 include Houston, Memphis, Omaha, Charleston and Las Vegas.
Charlotte was the only North Carolina city to appear on the list. Yelp also did another list for the Top 50 neighborhoods for economic growth, but no North Carolina areas appeared on the list.
