HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Officers responded to an active shooter call Monday afternoon in High Point.

A person who lives in the hotel said he heard two shots before police arrived at the In Town Suites Hotel off North Main Street.

Police said the situation was actually a fight between two individuals where one was shot.

Police said they don’t expect the man’s injuries to be “anything vastly significant.” The victim was alert and conscious while being transported for medical treatment.

Police arrested 25-year-old Kim Davis Jr. in connection to the shooting. He is charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
