It hasn't felt much like October this week in eastern North Carolina, and it does not look like that will be changing through the end of the week.

Warm and humid conditions continue Thursday. Highs will return to the mid 80s in the afternoon. Look for mostly cloudy skies through the day with some sun at times. Spotty showers and a few isolated storms are possible especially during the afternoon and early evening.

Warm days are still forecast through at least early next week. Highs will range from the low to mid 80s from Friday through Monday.

The weekend forecast still looks dry. A few showers will be possible Monday as a front moves through the state.

Behind Monday's front, temperatures should return closer to average for October. Highs in the mid 70s with morning lows in the 50s are expected around the middle of next week.
