Raleigh-- The North Carolina Museum of History is honoring our state's military members and veterans, as we lead up to the centennial tribute of Armistice Day on November 11th.  And this weekend they're hosting a day for those who've sacrificed and continue to today.  Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair spoke with the museum’s lead curator for the World War exhibit, Jackson Marshall.

Jackson wrote a book about his gratherfather’s experience in the War, along with a number of other first hand accounts.  And he used those accounts to help launch their award winning WWI exhibit at the museum. 

On Saturday, September 28^th, the museum is hosting Military Services Day where they’ll give back to those who serve or have served our country.  The free event runs from 11am to 3pm at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh . They will have bagpipes, music, a big raffle, discounted admission to other events, community organizations on hand as well as their award winning World War I exhibit.
