GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Brandt Snedeker took home his second Wyndham Championship trophy on Sunday, bringing to an end the PGA Tour's regular season, and setting the 125 players who will vie for the Fed Ex Cup over the next four events.

Thanks to his win on Sunday, Snedeker jumped 50 spots in the standings, all the way to 30th, which now puts him in a group of players with a realistic shot at claiming the $10 million dollar payday as Fed Ex Cup champion.

"It's huge," Snedeker said following his win in Greensboro. "Your position going into the playoffs dictates a lot of your chances of winning the Fed Ex Cup playoffs.  It dictates how you can think, and play.  As somebody who has been fortunate enough to win before, I realize how important it is to be in a good position going into the playoffs, and also to play well when you're there."

Snedeker called the Wyndham Championship, "the most stressful week I've ever had," but the pressure was of his own doing.  Snedeker's course record 59 on Thursday started him off with the lead at -11 under par, and a four-shot edge after day one.  That hot start got him thinking he HAD to win at Sedgefield this week.  Couple in the pressures of family and friends in the Triad to watch him play, and that Wyndham Worldwide is one of his sponsors, and Snedeker needed to find another gear in his game to pick up his ninth career win on Tour.

To get it done at the golf course where he earned his first win on Tour, sponsored by his sponsor, with the pressures of family, friends, and the fans in Greensboro that have seemingly adopted him as one of their own, made Sunday that much sweeter.

"Wyndham has treated me like family for the last 12 years, so it means the world to me to be able to give them this," Snedeker said.  "I feel like so many people were enjoying this with me, that it's not just my win, it's a community win almost."
