One of the longest winning streaks of all time is on the line Tuesday night as North Carolina hosts Clemson.

In case you haven't heard (and if you follow either of these teams, you probably have), the Tar Heels are 58-0 against the Tigers in games played in Chapel Hill.

Here are some interesting facts about those 58 wins.

- The victories include:

  • Four games in the Indoor Athletic Court
  • 14 in Woolen Gym
  • 13 at Carmichael Auditorium
  • and 27 at UNC's current home, the Smith Center.

- UNC's first win over the Tigers in Chapel Hill was a 50-20 victory on Jan. 15, 1926.

- UNC's latest win over the Tigers in Chapel Hill was an 80-69 victory on Dec. 30, 2015.

- That's almost 90 years.

- The teams used to play each other twice a year -- once in Clemson and once in Chapel Hill -- but that has stopped in recent years due to the ACC's expansion. So if Clemson loses tonight, they may not get another shot at the Heels in Chapel Hill for two more years. And the streak would be at 59.

- There certainly have been some close calls. In 2008, UNC needed double overtime to outlast the Tigers, 103-93. And in 1997, a highly ranked Clemson team visited Chapel Hill to face a team that was struggling in its final year under Coach Dean Smith. The Tar Heels won 61-48 and went on to the Final Four.

- In case you're wondering, the teams have played 151 times overall. Clemson has won 20 of those games.

Will the No. 20 Tigers beat the No. 15 Tar Heels and break the Chapel Hill streak? The game tips off at 7 p.m.
