GREENSBORO, N.C. – According to a study done by WalletHub, over 73 million Americans are looking for "pandemic-proof" jobs.
The CEO of Career Center of the Southeast, Kimberly Harris, says she's seen that in person.
She says they've been doing research, and jobs in fields like biomedical, delivery, and logistics have been hiring throughout the pandemic. She points to companies like Amazon and Walmart.
At High Point University, Dr. William Gentry has been helping students get their resumes ready for the tough job market.
He's the director of Career & Professional Development, and says people should be using this time to make themselves ready for jobs when they open up.
"We want you to pandemic-proof your career and not just your job, because if you think about it, there are certain industries like technology right now, healthcare, those seem to be jobs that are going to be very pandemic-proof right now, but who knows what’s going to happen later?" Gentry said.
