WILMINGTON, N.C. -- A major winter storm is impacting western and central North Carolina today, as we continue to have a lot of rain rolling through our area.

  • The western-most portions of the area could see a little sleet and snow
  • Localized flooding concerns remain as well with the rainfall amounts being generous
  • Shower chances will remain with us tomorrow as temperatures stay quite cool

The western-most portions of the area could see a little sleet and snow, but for most of us, this is a cold, soaking rain event.

Localized flooding concerns remain as well with the rainfall amounts being generous.

Shower chances will remain with us tomorrow as temperatures stay quite cool. However, sunshine returns later Tuesday, and a big warm-up is on tap later in the week.
