CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Crimestoppers held their Year in Review meeting Tuesday morning.

  • They've been able to solve armed robberies, a felony hit-and-run, as well as a homicide.
  • This year they've solved 198 cases, seized 48 guns, and more than $70,000 in drugs have been taken off the street.
  • Crimestoppers has given the helpful tipsters more than $29,000 in reward money.

With more than 2,500 tips this year, they've been able to solve armed robberies, a felony hit-and-run, as well as a homicide.

This was one of the best years on record for Charlotte Crimestoppers.

Officers say so far this year they've solved 198 cases, seized 48 guns, and more than $70,000 in drugs have been taken off the street.

 

 

Crimestoppers has given the helpful tipsters more than $29,000 in reward money.

One of the most notable cases this year involved a father and son were seriously injured in a hit-and-run at a South Charlotte Harris Teeter in April.

Thanks to the help from the public, the suspects are now behind bars.
