MORGANTON, N.C. -- Authorities say a son is dead after he was shot by his father in south Morganton Tuesday night.
Morganton Public Safety says it happened on Ross Street just before 8 p.m.
Authorities say the 27-year-old victim was shot in the chest.
Tony Odum has been charged with murder.
