A cold front continues to push through the Piedmont Tuesday morning and will clear to the east of us by the afternoon. Behind that, cool and dry high pressure will move back in Wednesday into Thanksgiving.

Other than an increase in cloud cover through the morning hours, the cold front will largely pass through unnoticed today, as it will lack enough moisture to squeeze out any rain showers. Expect skies to clear by this afternoon with sunshine returning and highs warming into the mid 50s to low 60s.

Tuesday night and Wednesday will feel much cooler than Tuesday morning as clear skies allow for temperatures to cool into the mid 20s to low/mid 30s. A beautiful but chilly day will line up for Wednesday with wall-to-wall blue sky and highs in the low to mid 50s.

High pressure will stick around through Thanksgiving, bringing us another day of sunny to mostly sunny skies Thursday with highs back into the low to mid 50s. By Thursday evening, a back door cold front will begin moving in from the north and bring yet another shot of cold air for Friday. Expect a night in the upper 20s for many across the Piedmont Thursday night with highs in the mid 40s Friday!
