DAVIDSON, N.C. -- A lot of determination, love, and hope drove many to Davidson’s Village Green Sunday, all in effort to keep Patrick Braxton-Andrew’s name and face publicized.

  • Braxton-Andrew was last seen in a northern Mexico town on October 28.
  • Folks at the park scribbled on posters and notes messages of encouragement to be passed along to the Braxton-Andrew family.
  • At last update, we’re told residents in the town were combing through trails in the very mountainous region.

Braxton-Andrew was last seen in a northern Mexico town on October 28. He’s a teacher at the private Woodlawn School in Mooresville and a Davidson native. His students talked about what makes him so great, like going to concerts with him.

“I’m going to the concert and they’d be like with who? And I say my Spanish teacher,” said Wesley Neal.

Jack Hager added, “[I’m] looking forward to him coming home and taking us to see another show.”

Folks at the park scribbled on posters and notes messages of encouragement to be passed along to the Braxton-Andrew family, currently working with the Mexican government. An avid traveler through Latin America, friends said this is very out of the ordinary.

Friend Russell Miller asked everyone to stay vigilant on social media and keep spreading the word.

“Keeping it in front of the government of Mexico at many levels and helping them make the case so when we meet with people they can say we’re going to keep going,” explained Miller.

“We’re ready for him to come home. We miss him. So it’s time,” said Woodlawn Student Megan Dailey.

At last update, we’re told residents in the town were combing through trails in the very mountainous region. State of Chihuahua Gov. Javier Jurado also secured federal authorities as the search continues.
