MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. – Just a week and a half after a deadly shooting at Butler High School, Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials say another gun has been found at an area school.
Officials say the gun was found at Hopewell High School.
It was found following a tip.
The student was apprehended and has been charged by Huntersville police. That person's identity has not been released to Spectrum News.
CMS says it has increased security cameras and systems around some schools this year, as well as added fencing and additional door locks.
