CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person is dead and as many as five others could be hurt  in two accidents on Interstate 485.           

The first one happened just before 4 p.m. o'clock and involved several vehicles in the inner lanes near Wilkinson Boulevard. 

The other wreck was in the same area but in the outer lanes.

Investigators have not said what caused the two wrecks.
