SAN ANTONIO -- A man was transported to University Hospital in critical condition after being side-swiped by a car on westbound I-410.

He later died. Medical examiners have identified him as 26-year-old Mauricio Zuniga.

According to SAPD, they responded to the call around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A sergeant said the man was towing another vehicle with a tow strap and his car broke down. When he pulled over to take a look at his vehicle, a car hit him.

The driver was a female in a black sedan. She was detained for suspicion of a DWI. Now that the victim has died, the driver could be facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
