CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- Saturday was an absolutely beautiful weather day around the region with lots of sun (outside of some morning clouds in the mountains) and pleasant temperatures.

  • Temperatures are cooler compared to yesterday with piedmont afternoon highs only in the 60s and mountain highs again in the 50s
  • A little light rain remains a possibility today but it will not be anything significant
  • A cold front will then slowly move through the region Tuesday into Wednesday

Our weather setup today is a bit different. We have a bit of a wedge setup in place with lots of clouds overhead through the day. Accordingly, temperatures are cooler compared to yesterday with piedmont afternoon highs only in the 60s and mountain highs again in the 50s. A little light rain remains a possibility today but it will not be anything significant.

A warmer airmass temporarily moves in for the first couple of days for the work week. In fact, many piedmont spots could hit 80 Monday afternoon.

A cold front will then slowly move through the region Tuesday into Wednesday and some showers are possible with it.

Following that front, another surge of chilly air will arrive. Look for lots of sun Thursday and Friday but highs and lows will dip below average for mid-October.
