YORK COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA – Let your beer taste buds roam. That’s the goal of the YoCo Brew Trail. It’s an interactive passport on Visit York County’s mobile app.

  • Several breweries, a cidery, and a bottle shop are on the trail
  • Brewers said the growth of the industry there has helped change the community
  • Since launching 3 weeks ago, 700-plus people have signed up for the brew trail

Several breweries, a cidery, and a bottle shop are on the trail. Anyone wanting to take part can check in at 5 spots, and then earn a t-shirt. More than the free swag, though, brewers said the growth of the industry there has helped change the community.

“A lot of our bartenders working the front have said they’ve seen new faces. We’re pretty social. People come in, we introduce ourselves. See someone we don’t recognize we chat them up a bit. Handful of people never been here before and reason why they came was because of the trail,” said Travis Tolson of Amor Artis Brewing.

Since launching 3 weeks ago, 700-plus people have signed up for the brew trail.
