STATESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – Statesville Police have arrested and charged a man with more than 50 sex offense counts.

Clinton Weber's charges include 35 counts of 1st degree statutory sex offense, 20 counts of 1st degree attempted statutory sex offense and one count rape of a child.

Authorities say this is the result of an extensive investigation into allegations that Weber took indecent liberties with the victim, to whom he was related by marriage. It was reported that the incidents took place from 2012, when the victim was 6 years old, until 2017.

He's in the Iredell County Jail under a $1,000,000 bond.
