Hope City Church is asking its members to bring in items like sleeping bags, tents, and bug spray.

These items will go the group Hope Vibes, who will distribute them to homeless people in Charlotte who lost items in the storm after Florence.

Some people lost everything they own. Pastor Robbie McLaughlin said "It takes something as simple as, 'Here's a sleeping bag.' It takes something as simple as, 'Hey, here's a few extra pairs of socks.' That makes all the difference in the world."

Hope City Church also offers a free meal each Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
