CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- High pressure is in position to keep much of North Carolina dry through Saturday.

  • Possible late day storms Saturday afternoon
  • Flooding will be ongoing through late next week
  • Daily chance of storms next week

An approaching cold front, may bring a few late days showers or storms to the mountains Saturday afternoon and evening.

Flooding continues in the eastern part of our state. Open and closed roads are ever changing. So, if you have travel plans, better check with NCDOT about what's closed or not. Flooding will be ongoing through late next week.

Sunday we'll see the return of daily chances for shower and storm development. It appears much of next week will see a daily chance for storms.
