CONCORD, N.C. -- Despite the chaos of Hurricane Florence, a group of Wilmington firefighters took a moment to show some appreciation for Chief Williams from Concord Fire.
Williams is one of several Concord Fire Department members deployed to Wilmington to help with relief efforts.
Wilmington crews decided to wish him a happy birthday by throwing together a cake from brownie mix and candy they found in their pantries.
