Look forward to another day of dry weather across the Piedmont as high pressure builds in from the west. Some river levels remain at minor to major flood stage across areas in Richmond county.

Expect a day with plenty of sunshine across the Piedmont and unseasonably warm temperatures as highs soar to near 90 for some near the South Carolina border. The mountains may see an isolated afternoon shower, but they too will be looking at fairly quiet and warm conditions. This same weather pattern will continue through the end of the work week. Flood Warnings still remain in effect for Anson, Stanly, and Richmond counties as river levels remain fairly elevated. The Pee Dee River at Blewett Falls Lake, for instance, still holds at major flood stage. Waters will continue to recede over the next couple of days.

A cold front approaching Sunday into Monday will allow for an unsettled weather pattern to resume. Behind this front, we should also see a bit of a cool down for early next work week, as highs dip into the upper 70s and low 80s.
