Neighbors shared their outrage at the "For The Love Of The City" rally Sunday afternoon. The rally came together after two men, 39-year-old Redmond Barnes and 34-year-old Elliott Barnes, died in a double shooting last weekend.

"If we don't stop and say something and stop being afraid of each other, there's going to be another murder," said Wilson resident Joy Arrington.

Four people died in shootings in Wilson this past month. Sixteen-year-old Rodshawn Barnes was shot outside of his home on Aug. 6, and 27-year-old Wilson resident Marquis Anderson died in a shooting north of Wilson Aug. 26.

The families of all four came to Sunday's rally; all of them pushed for the community to put the guns down.

Hope Barnes, Rodshawn Barnes' aunt, says she's still trying to come to terms with all of the deaths.

"I'm used to seeing them standing right there, right up under that tree as I pass by during the day. Now they're not there," said Barnes. "It's like wind -- you're here today and gone tomorrow."

The rally happened on the same block where Redmond and Elliott Barnes died last weekend.
