All indications are that Florence will be a major hurricane again by Tuesday. It's expected to be a very dangerous Catagory 4 storm Wednesday and Thursday as it tracks toward the Carolina coast. While it's still uncertain what impacts we wiill see, it's looking more likely that those impacts will be significant. It's even possible that some of those impacts will be felt well inland to the Piedmont and even the mountains. It's also possible that the storm will turn north with only the coast getting the worst. Unfortunately it's still just too soon to know but we will get a much better feel for the eventual track over the next couple days. While we wait, we have good rain chances through Wednesday, unrelated to Florence. Take your rain gear Panthers fans!
