DURHAM, N.C. -- Police are investigating after a shooting homicide occurred in the 1900 block of E. Main Street overnight.

• Two people were shot in Durham overnight.
• Shooting occurred on E. Main Street. 
• One person died inside a car. 

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call shortly after midnight Saturday morning.

Upon arrival they located a deceased adult female who had been shot inside a vehicle parked in a driveway.

An adult male was also located near the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Information surrounding motives or suspects has not been released.
