After yet another day in the 90s for Charlotte on Labor Day, Tuesday will likely mark the 10th day in a row we've warmed to above the 90-degree mark. The unseasonable heat will continue on through the first workweek of September with small opportunities for showers and storms.

We're back with the same hot and humid weather pattern we dealt with last week! With high pressure in place across both the upper and lower levels of the atmosphere, temperatures will soar in the 90s for many across the Piedmont. A few showers or storms will be possible by this afternoon, but as we've seen over the past few days, they'll remain fairly sparse in nature.

Wednesday through Friday will essentially feature the same story. Highs will remain above average (near 90 for Charlotte) with small opportunities for storms each day.

By the upcoming weekend, this pattern will begin to break down, leading to an increase in rain chances and slightly cooler conditions.
