CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- You often hear the phrase "Pack your Patience" before a major holiday but AAA officials say that phrase will have a whole new meaning this weekend.

AAA expects 900,000 people on the roadways across North Carolina for the Labor Day holiday.

But if you're traveling in or out the Queen City Friday, your travel plans may collide with President Donald Trump's visit to Charlotte where he’s signing an executive order and then attending a fund raising event.

“We're going to have even more traffic, there's going to be more road closures,” said Tiffany Wright with AAA of the Carolinas. "I think folks are going to realize ‘hey I thought I left work early’ but depending on time it is and where he [President Trump] is I can't tell you what you're going to expect.”

A spokesperson with Charlotte Douglas International Airport said they're encouraging travelers to check in with airlines before heading out to their flights.
