WAVES, N.C. -- An oceanfront beach house was destroyed in the Outer Banks Thursday.

  • A beach house burned down in the Outer Banks Thursday afternoon.
  • Witnesses say it was windy. 
  • The cause is not yet known. 

In a video shared to Facebook, fire crews can be seem battling the blaze in Waves, North Carolina, while onlookers gaze from afar.

 

 

Bystanders say there were heavy winds, which may have contributed to the massive flames.

A witness also said everyone made it out safely, but that has not been confirmed by an official source. 

 

 

 The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
