  • April Moseley, Joshua's mother, and Cierra Burris, Joshua's sister, are worried the case is going cold
  • There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Joshua Burris was shot and killed during a carjacking last August. Investigators also said there have been no new leads in this case.

April Moseley, Joshua's mother, and Cierra Burris, Joshua's sister, are worried the case is going cold.

"Someone can't just kill someone and get away with it. Whether it's justice in court, whether it's justice in the world, something is going to have to give for them to know that their life is not going to be easy just because they got away with a murder case," Burris said.

Moseley says her life was turned upside down the moment she learned her son was murdered.

"As a mother, it's ripped my heart into a million pieces. Losing a child is one of the most excruciating pains that I don't wish on anybody," she said.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. If you have any information, you're asked to call CMPD or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
