CONCORD, N.C. -- Concord Police are investigating a deadly shooting on Union Cemetery Road.

• Police received several calls about a shooting at Magnificent Jewel in the Union Plaza shopping center
• A large crowd was seen fighting in the parking lot
• One person was shot in the leg and another was shot in the back

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m.

Police received several calls about a shooting at Magnificent Jewel in the Union Plaza shopping center.

Once on the scene, a large crowd was seen fighting in the parking lot.

Officers broke up the fight and found two people that were shot. One person was shot in the leg and another was shot in the back. Both were taken to Atrium Health Northeast.

A third shooting victim showed up at Atrium Health Northeast a short time later. That man, Willie Clarence, died at the hospital.

Police are still trying to figure out how the fight broke out. As of now, there is no word on the shooter or shooters involved.
