CONCORD, N.C. -- It's a fear that comes with almost every NASCAR race: rain ruining all the fun.

  • There is now a weather guarantee for fans
  • Officials hope this will give fans a better experience
  • Bank of America 400 set for Sept. 30

Speedway Motorsports Inc. has thought of a new way for fans to get their money's worth.

Thanks to a new weather guarantee, fans that purchase a ticket at any of Speedway Motorsports 8 racetracks across the country and cannot attend a rescheduled race, can turn their unused ticket in for a ticket credit.

Charlotte Motor Speedway officials say they hope by doing this, they can give fans an even better experience in the future.

"We want to eliminate all the causes for concern,” says Charlotte Motor Speedway executive vice President Greg Walter. “We’re all about putting fans first and when everyone's kind of watching their dollars and how they spend them. If we can protect that for our guests and consumers, we think that’s a win.”

The Bank of America 400 kicks off with the brand new Roval course Sept. 30.
